the Ionia Boys Track and Field team was invited to attend the MITCA Team Track and Field State Meet on Friday May 28th.  This invitation was made due to their state ranking which was based on their performances throughout the season.  The Boys finished 10th at the meet behind some other impressive Division 2 Teams from across the state.  This was the first time Ionia received an invitation to the MITCA Team State Meet and enjoyed the opportunity and is looking forward to building more opportunities to attend again in the future. The meet is considered a "True" Team meet and the ultimate goal is for every athlete to contribute to the success of the team.  First place was awarded 30 points, Second place 29 points, etc. No individual medals are awarded at the meet. Final placings for Ionia were as follows:
