The Ionia Boys finished on top at the Alma Invitational on Friday May 14, 2021.  Ionia was first with 146 points followed by Alma (123.5), Midland Bullock Creek (60.16), Lansing Evverett (55), Ithaca (50), Big Rapids (40), Newaygo (29.33), Montabella (23).  On their way to victory Ionia compiled 12 Individual PR's, 1 Season Record and improved their times in all 4 of the Relays.

100 Meters: Travis Tucker 3rd (11.73) and Colter Clark 5th (12.19)

200 Meters: Jimmy Peabody 4th (24.17) and Colter Clark 5th (24.70)

400 Meters: Jimmy Peabody 1st (53.97), Lukas Schaffer 2nd (54.37), Colyn Ciganick 5th (56.05)

800:Meters: Josiah Magley 1st (2:01.35)

3200 Meters: Ellis Yokum 5th (10:55.10)

110 Meter Hurdles: Clay Currigan 1st (16.73) and Austin Currigan 2nd (18.92)

300 Meter Hurdles: Clay Currigan 2nd (46.35), Austin Currigan 3rd (46.38), and Tyson Evans 5th (46.50)

4 X 100 Relay: 3rd (46.80) Team of Kullan Granger, John Odette, Trevor Tooker, and Travis Tucker

4 X 200 Relay: 2nd (1:35.30) Team of Travis Tucker, Trevor Tooker, John Odette, and Jimmy Peabody

The boys have now won two Invitationals (Shepherd and Alma), taken second (Bulldog Relays) and 4th (Charlotte).  Their Dual meet record was 5-1 and 5-0 in the CAAC White Division Dual Meets.  On Monday 5/17 the team competes at a JV Championship style meet in St. Johns beginning at 3:30PM.  On Friday May 21st the Bulldogs travel to Forest Hills Eastern  to compete in the Division 2 Region 13 Championship Meet with several athletes showing potential to Qualify for the MHSAA Division II Stae Meet.
