Ionia records 29 PR's as they score 106 out of 137 points on there way to victory and an undefeated record in the CAAC White division.  THe boys were victorious in 3 of 4 Relays. The 4 X of 800 relay team of Josiah Magley, Heath LaPointe, Riley Husted, and Lukas Schafer finished first with a time of 8:39.45 (PR).  The 4 X 200 Relay team also finished first with a time of 1:39.65 members were; Austin Currigan, John Odette, Trevor Tooker, and Travis Tucker.  The 4 x 100 relay team of  Austin Currigan, Kullan Granger, Trevor Tooker, and Travis Tucker, also defeated Eaton Rapids in a time of 47.09 (PR).  Outside of relays the bulldogs finished 1st in 12 of 13 events.  First Place Finishers by events were: Jimmy Peabody; 100 (11.56), 200 (23.91), and the 400 (53.4)SR. Josiah Magley in the 800 (2:04.53) and the 1600 (4:40.33)PR, Jacob Montgomery won the 3200 (11:3.88). Clay Currigan finished first in both the 110 Hurdles (16.59) and the 300 Hurdles (45.66).  Brandon Grant finished 1st in the Shot Put (41'-1.5") and the Discus (112'-0").  Ionia had a tie for first in the high jump at 5'-8" between John Odette and Ethan Canfield.Kullan Granger won the long jump with with a jump of 17'-10"  Full Results are available at athletic.net

The boys are now 5-1 in dual meets overall and 5-0 in CAAC White Action.  The next meets for the boys will be the Alma Invitational at Alma High School on Friday May14th and a JV Invitational on Monday May 17th at St. Johns.  The boys are heading into the Championship portion of the 2021 Season with Regional Meet action on Friday May 21st and the CAAC Championship meet on Wednesday May 26th.
