Middle School Wrestling Goes 1-1 at DeWitt

The Ionia Middle School wrestling team traveled to DeWitt for a double dual Tuesday night. The Bulldogs defeated Charlotte 36-9 in the first meet and fell to the Panthers of DeWitt in a tight one 44-46 in the second meet.
The young Bulldog grapplers were led by Titiana Castillo and Bryce Hoppes who both went 2-0 in their matches. Other wrestlers earning a victory on the night were Dakota Roth, Ben Glick, Chad Campbell, Levi Barker, Gabe Rogers, John Wheeler, and Jack Gardner.
Ionia is 1-1 on the season and will be back in action on Friday at the high school for the 2022 IMS Bulldog Team Duals.
