Tonight Ionia travelled to Portland for the second meeting of the year. The B Team struggled throughout the night and never found their groove. At the end of the first half Ionia was down 6-4. The offense was able to push the ball but never capitalized on it. Going into the fourth quarter Ionia was still down 14-5. In the fourth they picked up their defense and with 8 seconds had a possibility of pulling within 3 but missed the free throws. Final score was 16-11, Portland.

Leading scores were Ray Roberts with 6 points, Kalyssa Hanses with 4 points and Shauna Wheeler with 1 point. Ionia is now 2-4 with two games remaining.

Next game is Monday, Feb. 24 at Dewitt.
