Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Fowlerville for the last home game of the season. The team started slow in the first quarter and Fowlerville jumped out to a 16-10 lead. We settled down in the second but going into halftime Ionia was down 24-17. The team played better in the second half but was unable to close the gap. The final score was Fowlerville 41 Ionia 33. The leading scorer was Tessa Lemke with 11 points. Kylie Leonard had a good game with 9 points, Josie Lee had 6, Paislie Patterson, Grace Droste, and Kennedy Batista each had 2. Alexa Barna chipped in one point. Ionia is now 3-4. The next game is tomorrow Thursday, Feb. 24 at Haslett.
