CHARLOTTE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 32
Tonight the Bulldogs traveled to Charlotte and won their second game of the season. In the first quarter, Charlotte was able to take a lead but the Bulldogs railed in the second and led 18-14 going into the half. The girls started slowly in the third and Charlotte outscored them 11-4 to take a one-point lead into the fourth. Ionia was able to turn it around and pull ahead to win 36-32. It was a well-rounded scoring night with every player scoring points. Leading scorers were Tessa Lemke with 14 points and Alexa Barna with 6. Kylie Leonard and Katie Leonard each scored 4 points. Paislie Patterson, Grace Droste, Josie Lee, and Kennedy Batista each chipped in 2. Ionia is now 2-1. The next game is this Wednesday at DeWitt.
