WAVERLY MIDDLE SCHOOL: 53
Tonight the Bulldogs traveled to Waverly for the second game of the season. It was a rough start to the game and at the end of the first half, Ionia was down 34-15. The third quarter was similar but the girls played better in the fourth quarter and eventually lost 53-29. Leading scores were Tessa Lemke with 11 points, Grace Droste with 7, Josie Lee had 5 and both Alexa Barna and Kylie Leonard chipped in 3. Ionia is now 1-1. Their next game is Wednesday at home against Holt.
