FOWLERVILLE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 39
Tonight the Bulldogs hosted Fowlerville. The A Team was the only team to play. This game marks the halfway point of our season. The team came out focused in the first quarter and led Fowlerville 7-4. In the second quarter Ionia was unable to handle some pressure by Fowlerville and on the defensive end did not hold true to their defensive principles. Fowlerville led at halftime 25-11.
Our goal going into the second half was for the girls to commit to playing as a team. Ionia continued to play hard and never gave up, but ended up losing 39-25. Leading scores were Lilly Reams with 8 points and Victoria Banks with 7 points. Ionia is now 0-5.
Next game is Monday, February 10 at Charlotte. Only the A Team will be playing. Game time is 4:30.
