OLIVET HIGH SCHOOL: 6
The Ionia Girls JV Softball team split with Olivet on Thursday, May 16th at home! The girls struggled in the first game with some defensive errors and were not able to make up for it on the offensive end. Hannah Alderink went 2-2 with a walk and Kaya Clark, Ava Bucholtz, and Adah Drown went 2-3. The girls made a real effort to improve on their errors and start hitting the ball collectively as a team. Ava Bucholtz went 3-3 with a walk. Kaylee Schmid and Kaya Clark went 2-3 with a walk. Adah Drown went 1-1 with 3 walks and pitched both games for Ionia. Savannah Taylor also went 2-4. The Bulldogs season is coming to an end with next week being there final week. They will play Lakewood at home on Tuesday, May 21st.
