MASON HIGH SCHOOL: 17
The Ionia Girls JV Softball team took two losses on Thursday, May 2nd at Mason. The first game they struggled only putting up 1 run and allowing 17. Some highlights of this game was that Ava Bucholtz went 2-2 and Kaylee Schmid went 1-1 with a walk. During the second game the girls were able to advance more offensively as this game was 22-7. Ava Bucholtz, Savannah Taylor, and Taylor Ferris were all able to go 2-3 at the plate. Adah Drown pitched for Ionia and had 9 strikouts! Ionia will be home next Tuesday for a double-header against Okemos.
