The Ionia Girls JV hosted their Softball Invitational on Saturday, April 20th. They faced Lakewood in their first game and lost 7-17. Ionia had a few good hitters this game with Bella Delgado and Adah Drown going 3-4. Kaya Clark and and Hannah Alderink both went 1-2. They just could not rally to win. Bella Delgado was in the circle for Ionia. The second game Ionia faced Hastings and struggled on both sides with the score being 26-4. Ava Bucholtz went 1-1 with a walk and Hannah Alderink went 1-2. Adah Drown pitched for the Bulldogs. They will go into nexr week facing Olivet at Olivet on Tuesday, April 23rd.
