Girls Junior Varsity Softball Loses to Haslett

HASLETT HIGH SCHOOL: 20
The Ionia Girls JV Softball team lost both games vs. Haslett on Thursday, April 18th. They were both hard fought games with the score being 17-20, for the first, and 6-9, for the second. Adah Drown pitched both games again for the Bulldogs and was tough enough to continue playing even through a collision at the plate. She also went 1-1 with 3 walks. Ava Bucholtz led the team going 3-3 with a walk, and Liberty Stanard and Kaylee Schmid both went 1-2 with two walks. The second game Kaylee Schmid went 1-2 with 2 walks and Ava Bucholtz and Kaya Clark went 1-2. Ionia will host their JV Invitational on Saturday, April 20th and play Lakewood at 10am.
