PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL: 21
The Ionia Girls JV Softball team took two losses on Tuesday night vs Portland. The first game 3-21 and the second 0-15. Ionia started off strong in the first game with the score being 3-4 after the first inning and was hitting well! Adah Drown went 2-2, Kaya Clark, Hannah Alderink, Aubrei Nash, and Kaylynn Wizorek all went 1-2. The Bulldogs were just unable to come up with stops in order to keep Portland from scoring. The second game was a struggle as well on both sides as Ionia only had one hit from Kaylynn Wizorek. Adah Drown pitched both games and struck out five girls! Many of the girls stepped up and played different positions for their team tonight and will become better for their next game on Thursday, April 18th at Home vs Haslett.
