Girls Junior Varsity Softball Falls to St. Patrick HS School

The Ionia Girls Junior Varsity Softball team took two losses on Tuesday, May 23rd verse St. Pats. The girls struggled during their first game with giving up outs and getting hits as they had previously been hitting the ball well. The score of game 1 was 20-6. For the Bulldogs, Ava Bucholtz and Jadine Bigger both went 2-2 and led the team. Liberty Stanard pitched both games for Ionia and led the second game hitting 2-2. The score of game 2 was much closer, losing 11-3, and the Bulldogs did a much better job hitting and defensively, Gabbi Meyers, Tate Piche, and Mariah Stoakes all went 2-3. Ionia has one more game to finish their season, tomorrow May 24th at St. Johns! Their current record is 5-21.
