Game 1: Williamston 14 Ionia 11

Ionia lost both games Thursday night against Williamston. Ionia let up 6 runs in the third inning which put Ionia down by 9 runs. Ionia was able to hold Williamston and only allow 3 additional runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth and fifth innings Ionia got their bats moving and scored a total of 9 runs between both innings making a comeback but unable to pull off the win. The Bulldogs were led by Ava Bucholz going 4 for 4, Mariah Stoakes going 2 for 2. Lauryn Schmid went 2 for 3,  Jazmine Cooper and Tate Piche both went 1 for 2 and Jadine Bigger went 1 for 4 and was on the mound for the Bulldogs.

Game 2: Williamston 10 Ionia 8

Ionia went looking for the win in Game 2. Ionia let up one run in the first inning but then came back at the bottom of the 1st to score 1 run tying the game 1-1. The game started to slip early in the 4th inning for Ionia. Ionia was able to bring the game back into a 2 run game at the bottom of the 4th. Ionia was unable to score any runs in the 5th inning taking another loss to Williamston. The Bulldogs were led in Game 2 by Ava Bucholz and Jadine Bigger both going 2 for 3, Corina Hall went 2 for 2, Mariah Stoakes went 2 for 4. Jazmin Cooper went 1 for 1, Hannah Alderink went 1 for 2 and Lauryn Schmid went 1 for 3. Liberty Stanard was on the mound for the Bulldogs in Game 2. 

The Bulldogs are looking forward to their home Tournament this Saturday April 22nd  at 10 a.m. where they will play Central Montcalm in Game 1.
