Girls Junior Varsity Softball loses to Pewamo-Westphalia

PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA HIGH SCHOOL: 19
The Ionia Girls Junior Varsity Softball Team took two losses on Tuesday, April 11th vs. Pewamo-Westphalia. The first game the girls struggled with errors and gave up 19 runs to the 8 we scored. Leading the bulldogs hitting was Hannah Alderink, who went 3-3. Gabbi Meyers went 1-1 with 2 walks. The second game the girls were able to hit the ball better and score more. The second game was 14-22. Lauryn Schmid went 2-2 with 2 walks, Jazmin Cooper went 1-1 with 3 walks, Mariah Stoakes and Hannah Alderink both went 2-3 with a walk, and Ava Bucholz went 2-4. The JV Girls are now 0-4, with hopes of obtaining their first win on Thursday, April 13th vs. Fowlerville.
