Girls Junior Varsity Softball falls to Saranac HS for Purple Game

The Ionia Girl's Junior Varsity Softball team lost to Saranac on the evening of Friday, May 21st for their annual Purple Game. The Purple Game was played for a bigger cause than just softball, with many players honoring those fighting cancer and some who wore jerseys in memory of those who have lost this battle. The Bulldogs fell short in their first game 12-6 to Saranac. Ionia had a few good hits during this game with Londyn Brown going 3-4 and Rylee King gong 2-4. Kaidence Thomas went 3-4 this game as well. The next game the Bulldogs lost 10-0. The JV Girls team is now 13-14 and hopes to end their season high with some wins against St. Johns on May 26th at St. Johns.
