Girls Junior Varsity Softball Splits at Home Tournament

The Ionia Girls Junior Varsity hosted a tournament on Saturday April 24th where they lost to Coopersville for their first game, but ended up winning their second against Lakewood. The Bulldogs fell short to Coopersville 14-4. During this game Londyn Brown went 2-3 and Chloe Witter went 2-3. In their following game, Ionia was able to power back and defeat Lakewood 8-4. Kaidence Thomas went 2-2 with a two walks and Jazmin Cooper went 2-3 with a walk. After the split during this tournament the Bulldogs record is now 5-8. The JV girls hope to earn back some wins on Tuesday April 27th verse Lansing Catholic.
