The Ionia Freshman suffered their first defeat of the season to Eaton Rapids 60-52 on Thursday night. After being down by 17 in the first half, the Bulldogs battled back in the second half to get within 5. The boys never gave up and played hard but came up a little short.

Leading the way for Ionia was Carter Ralston with 20 points followed by Dawson Leland with 17.

The next game for Ionia is Wednesday Dec.21 at Pewamo Westphalia at 4:00, the first game of a triple header.
