The Freshman Bulldogs hosted county rival Lakewood at home on Monday evening. Ionia defeated the Vikings 77-29.

Once again the Bulldogs relied heavily on their defense. We were able to create a lot of turnovers and convert them into fast break opportunities,which led to points inside the paint.

Carter Ralston paced the Dawgs with 22 points, to go with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Dawson Leland added 13 points and Riley Yokom dropped in 10. It was a good night for Ionia on the offensive end, with every player scoring and contributing.

Ionia hosts Eaton Rapids on Thursday. Tip-off at 5:30
