Ionia Freshman Basketball defeated Ovid-Elsie 51-46 at Ovid-Elsie. Ionia had the lead at half 25-21. Second half Ovid-Elsie took a one point lead only for Ionia to answer back and bring home the win. The Bulldogs were lead by Tristin Ciganick and Braylon Granger - 11 pts each, Brent Starks - 8 pts, Caleb Shortz - 7 pts, Ryan Lee, Wyatt Erridge, Carter Starks and Myles Perrien - 3 pts each, Trevor Hodges - 2 pts. The Bulldogs play home against Lansing Catholic on Thursday Feb 24th at 5:30 PM. Bulldogs are now 15-2 on the season.
