MASON HIGH SCHOOL: 55
Ionia Freshmen Basketball defeated Mason 57-55 at Mason. Ionia lead at half 38-29. Second half Ionia trailed by 2 with 34 seconds left. Tristin Ciganick hit the bucket to tie the game and Brent Starks got a clutch steal to and layup to lead the Bulldogs to a hard fought victory. The Bulldogs were lead by Tristin Ciganick - 15 pts, Brent Starks - 10 pts, Trevor Hodges - 9 pts, Caleb Shortz - 7 pts, Wyatt Erridge - 5 pts, Gaven Elvert - 3 pts, Carter Starks, Jaxon Palmer, Tyson Brownell and Myles Perrien - 2 pts each. The Bulldogs play home against Eaton Rapids on Thursday Jan 27th at 5:30 PM. Bulldogs are now 10-1 on the season.
