PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL: 44
IONIA Freshman basketball played home against Portland and lost a close one 41-44. The Bulldogs made a strong effort at the end of the game to almost put it into overtime.
The Freshman were lead by Austin Currigan with 15 pts, Sam Eppler and Miles Gregory each with 7 pts., Logan Brown with 6 pts, Colter Clark, Colyn Ciganick and Brendan Wood each had 2 pts.
The Bulldogs are 7-4 on the season and play away Tuesday Feb. 4th against Dewitt at 4:00 PM.
