East Lansing Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-3 loss to East Lansing on Thursday.  East Lansing took the lead on a wild pitch in the first inning.

The Ionia Bulldogs Freshman struggled to contain the high-powered offense of East Lansing, giving up ten runs.

East Lansing got on the board in the first inning.  Rowan Spearman's wild pitch allowed one run to score for East Lansing.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman put up three runs in the fifth inning.  The big inning was thanks to a fielder's choice by Riley Yokom and a double by Caiden Sayers.

East Lansing scored three runs in the sixth inning.  The big inning for East Lansing came thanks to a single by #6 and  by #23.

#4 led things off on the mound for East Lansing. The ace allowed seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out 11.

Spearman was on the hill for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. Spearman allowed three hits and six runs over four innings, striking out seven.  Roel Lopez threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Nolan Hart went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman in hits.

East Lansing racked up seven hits in the game.  #6 and #12 each collected multiple hits for East Lansing.  East Lansing stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. #16 led the way with three.  East Lansing didn't commit a single error in the field. #16 had  12 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-3 loss to East Lansing on Thursday.  East Lansing scored on a double by #7 and a groundout by #4 in the first inning.

The Ionia Bulldogs Freshman struggled to contain the high-powered offense of East Lansing, giving up 12 runs.

East Lansing got things started in the first inning when #7 doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

East Lansing scored five runs in the sixth inning.  #6, #12,  #16, and #3 powered the big inning with RBIs.

#3 was on the hill for East Lansing. The hurler went four and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out ten and walking one.

Roel Lopez was on the pitcher's mound for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on three hits over one inning, striking out one and walking one.  Riley Yokom threw five innings in relief.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman smacked one home run on the day. Nolan Hart had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman collected six hits.  Hart and Caiden Sayers each managed multiple hits for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman.  Sayers and Hart each managed two hits to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman.

#9 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead East Lansing in hits.  East Lansing tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. #16 led the way with three.
