Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Falls to Lakewood After Sixth Inning Score
 

Friday's game against Lakewood was a heartbreaker for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat.  The game was tied at five with Lakewood batting in the bottom of the sixth when #33 drew a walk, scoring one run.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman lost despite out-hitting Lakewood 11 to three.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman got on the board in the first inning when Riley Yokom singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Dawson Leland toed the rubber for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The pitcher surrendered five runs on three hits over five innings, striking out nine.  Roel Lopez threw one inning in relief.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman totaled 11 hits.  Yokom, Leland, and Mason Braman each had multiple hits for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman.  Leland and Yokom each collected three hits to lead Ionia Bulldogs Freshman.

Stewart led Lakewood with two hits in four at bats.  Lakewood stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. #20 led the way with two.  Lakewood was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. #33 had the most chances in the field with eight.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman Can't Catch Up To

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 14-6 loss to Lakewood on Friday.  Lakewood scored on a double by Stewart, a single by #30, a single by #21, a single by #29, a passed ball during Mcgrarry's at bat, a groundout by Cusack, a single by #30, a triple by #21, a double by #29, and a double by Mcgrarry in the first inning.

Ionia Bulldogs Freshman collected three hits and Lakewood had 11 in the high-scoring affair.

Stewart led things off on the hill for Lakewood. Stewart surrendered three runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out five.

Riley Yokom was on the pitcher's mound for Ionia Bulldogs Freshman. The pitcher surrendered nine runs on five hits over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking one.  Jude Gregory threw three and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Yokom led Ionia Bulldogs Freshman with two hits in three at bats.  Ionia Bulldogs Freshman tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Nolan Hart led the way with three.

Lakewood scattered 11 hits in the game.  #29, #21, and #30 each racked up multiple hits for Lakewood.  #29 went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lakewood in hits.  #20 led Lakewood with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 11 stolen bases.
