FOWLERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 5
Ionia JV soccer had its last home game of the season tonight vs the Fowlerville Gladiators. Ionia started off the game well with good ball movement throughout the middle of the field. Unfortunately Fowlerville came ready to play and by the end of the half were up 3-0. Carl Goeckel started in goal and had 2 saves. In the second half the Bulldogs got a spark from Luis Lopez who was constantly providing pressure up top as the team's striker. Luis finally managed to get off a shot on goal that the keeper knocked away only to find the foot of Hudson Kemp who put the ball into the back of the net. That was the lone bright spot tonight as the game ended 1-5 in favor of Fowlerville.
Ionia JV Soccer ends the season at 1-5-1. The Varsity team starts districts @6pm @ Lowell on Wednesday October 12th.
