Ionia JV Baseball lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat to Williamston Junior Varsity Hornets on Thursday.  The game was tied at two with Williamston Junior Varsity Hornets batting in the bottom of the sixth when Rudy Marinez singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Ionia JV Baseball lost despite out-hitting Williamston Junior Varsity Hornets six to three.

Parker Seidleman toed the rubber for Ionia JV Baseball. The righty allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three.  Trevor Hodges and Christian Miller entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Palmer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Ionia JV Baseball in hits.

Ionia JV Baseball defeated Williamston Junior Varsity Hornets 5-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Jaxson Palmer struck out Rudy Marinez to finish off the game.

Ionia JV Baseball opened up scoring in the first inning.  Carter Starks was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Trevor Hodges, Miller, Ryan Lee, and Palmer each collected one hit to lead Ionia JV Baseball.

Ionia JV is now 7-3 on the season and will next play in their home tournament on Saturday April 22nd vs Central Montcalm @10:00am
