Ionia lost the first game of the night 9-5 to Eaton Rapids. Tyson McDiarmid started pitching throwing 3 innings giving up 2 earned runs with 3 strikeouts. The Bulldogs had a rough day in the field giving up 7 unearned runs. Batting wise the team was led by Garrett Lee who went 2-2 with 1 single, 1 double, 2 HBP, and scoring twice. 7 other Bulldogs also secured hits. Ionia out hit Eaton Rapids 10 hits to 6 but it wasn't enough.

In the second game Ionia secured a mercy in 5 innings beating the greyhounds 15-5. Carter Castillo started on the mound and threw 4 innings allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits with 8 strikeouts. The Bulldogs managed 16 hits offensively. The extra base knocks go to Tyson McDiarmid with a triple and Garret Lee, Carter Castillo, and Kolson Daugherty all had 1 double each.

The Bulldogs are 11-8 on the season and will play Alma on Friday May 14th @Alma @4pm.
