The Ionia JV Baseball team defeated Hastings baseball team 5-0 in the first game and 6-2 in the second game. 

Carter Castillo pitched a complete game and had 9 strikeouts in 5 innings pitched. Offensively the team was led by Garrett Lee who went 2-3 with 1 double, 1 single and scoring once. Lance Atkinson and Tyson McDiarmid both chipped in going 1-1 with 1 double a piece. 

In the second game Lance Atkinson pitched 3 innings giving up 2 runs and striking out 5 then Matthew McCoy came in, in the 4th inning to close the game with one strikeout and no runs given up. Offensively the Bulldogs were led by Matthew McCoy at the plate as well going 1-1 with a single and 2 walks, Austin Murphy and Miles Gregory both chipped in with doubles as well.

The Bulldogs are 8-5 on the season and will look to continue their win streak against Charlotte on Tuesday May 4th @Charlotte @4:00pm.
