LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 7
The Ionia JV Baseball team lost both games tonight vs Lansing Catholic Central. The score of the first game was 7-6 and the nightcap was 14-8.The Bulldogs actually managed to out hit the Cougars 12 hits to 6 in the first game and 8 hits to 7 in the second game. The cougars were a much more patient team at the plate tonight drawing 16 walks in the first game to Ionia's 1 and 14 walks in the second game to Ionia's 4. Some of the top hitters in the first game were Tyson McDiarmid going 4 for 4 with 3 singles and 1 double while Matthew McCoy went 2-3 with 1 double, 1 single, and walk. In the second game Carter Castillo went 2-3 with 1 double and 1 single to lead the bulldogs and Gage Flanner went 2-3 with 2 singles.
The Bulldogs fall to 6-5 and will look to get back on track against Hastings High School on Thursday April 29th @Home @4:00pm.
