WAVERLY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The girls had an exciting start to the season today as we defeated Waverly 7-1 on our home courts.
We won all four singles matches led by
Senior Jessa Swinehart at first Singles who won 6-1,6-1
2nd Singles Isabella Reisbeg won 6-2, 6-0
3rd Singles Ellie Lamphere won 6-1,6-2
4th Singles Chanika Juraiwansutthi won 6-2,6-2
Our Doubles were led by Riley Browne and Caitlyn McGuire 6-1,6-0
2nd Doubles Kennedee and Margaret Pischea won their match 6-0,6-2
3rd doubles put up a huge battle. Between Abella Woodard and Sarah Schafer they battled tooth and nail but fell to the Warriors team 5-7, 6-7 (3-7)
And we rounded out the night at 4th doubles with Karis Labadie and KT Weber winning 6-3, 6-3.
Ionia is 0-0 in league play and 1-0 overall
We will play 4/12/22 at 4:30 pm @ Fowlerville High School.
