Ionia girls soccer was defeated by a very good East Grand Rapids team 8-0 on Wednesday night in district play.
Tessa Masengale and Katie Leonard made play after play on the defensive side to make things difficult for EGR all night. Mimose Sandborn played one of her best games of her career on defense, and Kylie Leonard played well on the wing. Kaylynn Doty recorded 14 saves back in net.
Ionia finishes the season with a 7-9-3 record.
