Ionia girls varsity soccer was defeated by Lakewood 7-1.

Katie Leonard was the leader on the defensive side. Kelila Rustin scored the lone goal for Ionia on a beautifully played ball by Addison Bowne, who picked up the assist on the goal. We have a lot of things to clean up and will have a quick turnout to make the changes as we play again tomorrow.

Ionia falls to 3-7-3 on the season. Their next game will be tomorrow night at Wyoming Kelloggsville with a 4:30 varsity kickoff.
