Ionia girls varsity soccer was defeated by Fowlerville by a score of 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Kelila Rustin scored the lone goal for the bulldogs on a nice through ball assisted by Aimme Cardoso. Aimme continues to provide whatever the team needs in multiple spots on the field. Isabelle Vasquez and Tessa Masengale provided support in the middle throughout the game, and Kaylynn Doty recorded 11 saves on the day.

Ionia falls to 2-4-1 on the season, and will take on Olivet Tuesday night with a 7:00 kickoff.
