The Ionia girl's varsity team had the offense going tonight in an 8-0 win over Lansing Everett. Kylie Leonard would open the game up with a goal 6 minutes into the game. The score would remain 1-0 for most of the half until things started to click on in the final third of the field. We would score 3 goals in the final 6 minutes of the half, and would open the second half by scoring 4 more goals in the next 16 minutes.

Kylie Leonard continues her scoring trend by scoring two more goals, and adding an assist. Natalia Magallon woudl also add some more goals to her season total by scoring 2 goals of her own on the night. Kelila Rustin and Alexa Barna would both score their first goals of the season. Ebony Williams scored her first career goal, and Taylor Browne added a goal and an assist to the scoring column. Tessa Masengale was the main distributor on the night as she added two assists. 

Kaylynn Doty earned her first career shutout in the goal behind a powerful defense of Katie Leonard, Josie Lee, and Mimose Sandborn.

Ionia improves to 2-0 on the season and will take on Eaton Rapids at home on Thursday with a 7:00 varsity kick off. Varsity will follow the jv game, which has a 5:30 kickoff.
