LANSING EASTERN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Ionia girls varsity soccer team defeated Lansing Eastern by a score of 2-0. Ionia scored early in the game on a free kick by Rylie Dinehart and would hold a 1-0 lead at half. Rylie would steal a goal kick from Lansing Eastern and dribble in for her second goal of the game early in the second half.
Our defense held strong tonight to hold them scoreless, with Kelila Rustin and Tammy Ledesma combining in goal for the shutout. Kylie Leonard and Avery Haney both played exceptional on the wing.
Ionia girls varsity soccer will travel to Greenville for the first round of districts on Wednesday, kickoff time 6:00.
