WAVERLY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 6
The Ionia girls soccer team played tough but was defeated by a score of 6-1 by Lansing Waverly. Our passing was much improved tonight and we were able to retain possession often but weren’t able to capitalize on chances.
Rylie Dinehart scored the lone goal for Ionia off of a penalty kick. Mimose Sandborn played her first career game in goal and did really well. Alexa Barna and Kelila Rustin were the leaders in controlling the passing game tonight.
Ionia girls varsity soccer have our senior night home game this Saturday, May 13, with a 1:30 kickoff. Jv will kick off at noon.
