PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL: 4
The Ionia girls soccer team battled tough but ultimately lost to Portland by a score of 4-0. A couple costly errors led to Portland putting some points on the board. We made a strong push in the second half and began to control the field, but weren’t able to put any in the net.
Tessa Masengale and Kelila Rustin played well in the center of the field and Ali Vasquez had her best game of the season on defense.
Ionia girls varsity soccer will play their next game on Friday April 28 at 7:00 at home. Jv kickoff is at 5:30.
