LANSING EASTERN HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Ionia Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Lansing Eastern in a rematch by a score of 2-1 on Monday night which marked their third win in a row. The girls played extremely hard and fought from start to finish to get the victory.
Tessa Masengale scored a goal on a penalty kick created by Joana Carlos. Joana positioned herself nicely for a rebound and put the shot on goal. Lansing Eastern got a handball off the shot which set up the goal for Tessa. Rylie Dinehart scored yet another goal on a nice throw in through ball by Martina Sierra.
Ionia will begin districts by traveling to Greenville on Wednesday. Kickoff is at 5.
