Ionia Girls Varsity Soccer traveled to Perry and tied by a score of 2-2 on a cold, rainy, and muddy game Friday night.
It was one of those games that the girls will remember and appreciate for a very long time; standing water on the field, pouring rain for the entire game, dirty muddy jerseys. The girls brought the energy and made the most out of it, enjoying every moment.
Kara Kramer scored our two goals, both assisted by Avery Haney. Avery played her best game of the season, while Mimose Sandborn made her first career varsity start at sweeper and played a great game. Kelila Rustin added to her incredible save total on the season by adding another 12 saves.
Ionia will travel to Portland on Tuesday for a double header with JV starting at 4:00 and varsity playing at 5:30
