Ionia Varsity Boys Golf Team came out strong and battled through adversity to come in 2nd place at the Ionia County Shootout.  With a total of 6 teams in this 18 hole competition, Ionia had a score of 340 leaving them only 8 strokes back from 1st place. Leading all Ionia scores with a low round was Senior, Ryan Barna (79) who also was 3rd lowest in the shootout, which earned him a medal. Honorable mentions included Senior Brett Petersen with a low (86) and Junior Hobbs Pinnow with a low (87) and Sophomore Spencer Tooker with a low (88).  

Ionia JV Boys Golf Team came away with a 1st place win at todays Ionia County Shootout.  There were a total of six teams in this 18 hole competition and our boys walked away with a team score of 385!  Leading the Ionia team was Senior Sam Meyers (93), Freshman Cole Pertersen (96), Junior Aden Wenzel (97), and Freshman Drew Paton (99).
