The Boys Varsity golf team hit to the links today to play at Yankee Springs GC in Wayland in the State Regionals. 

16 teams competed with only 3 of them moving on to the State-Finals. Byron Center won the Regional with a team score of 310, followed by Grand Rapids Christian with 318 and Plainwell with a 326.  Medalist for the Tournament  was Jack Marzolino from Byron Center and William Jensen from Hastings who shot a pair of 71's which is 1 under par.

The Bulldogs finished with a team total of 389.  Medalist was Lane Thomas with a 93 (45/48), followed by Hobbs Pinnow with a 94 (45/49), Ryan Barna with a 100 (50/50), Gunner Woods with a 102 (53/49) and Alex Yakes with a 104 (54/50).  

This finishes the season for the Bulldog golfers who competed hard all season and saw improvement from all of them.  The future of Ionia golf in the coming years is exciting for this young team.
