Today the boys Varsity and Junior Varsity golf teams competed in the 18 hole Ionia County Shoot Out at Morrison Lake Country Club in Saranac. Teams competing included the Bulldogs, Portland, Lakewood, Belding and Pewamo Westphalia.
The Varsity finished fifth in the Shoot Out with a team total of 424. Lane Thomas was medalist for the Bulldogs with a 102, Alex Yakes shot a 105 and Gunner Woods came in with a 106.
The Junior Varsity finished fourth with a team total of 483. Cy Currigan was medalist with a 115 followed closely by Sam Meyers with a 119.
Both Bulldog teams return to action next Wednesday with a nine hole match at Hastings followed by a league Jamboree on Thursday at Charlotte/Eaton Rapids.
