The Ionia Girls JV soccer team went against Okemos High School, we lost 0-8.

The first half we let 3 goals go in almost immediately in the first 10 minutes. After that our defense with Tanya Rojas, Alexis Fugitt, and Angie Reyes were able to keep the offense away and move the ball out. Kayra Vazquez-Yabarra was able to make a lot of saves as our keeper. For the remaining 25 minutes we only let 2 more goals get past our defense. Ending the second half 0-5. Once the second half started we just weren't able to find our footing and we ended up letting the remaining 3 goals get scored in the next 10 minutes. The Bulldogs put a great effort in and our defense tried to place a stop, but Okemos's offense was just overwhelming.

This leaves the JV at a total of 4-7-0. Our next game is Monday May 20th at 5:30pm. Where we will face off against Lansing Eastern High School at Ionia High School.
