Congratulations to our Block I Award Winners from the class of 2022!   Lane Thomas, Josie Phelps, Alexander Lange, Jessa Swinehart, Trevor Tooker, Brynn Reams, and Tanner Gregory who were recognized on Class Night at the historic Ionia movie theater downtown on Tuesday, May 24th. 

The Block I Award is given to athletes that have represented their teams, school, and community with pride by participating in 3 sports seasons each year of their entire Ionia High School career.  Below is the class of 2022 Block I Award winners and the sports they participated in each season.

• Tanner Gregory: Football, Basketball (9-11)/Bowling (12), and Baseball

• Alexander Lange: XC, Swim & Diving, and Track & Field

• Josie Phelps: XC (9)/Swim & Diving (10-12), Basketball, and Softball (9-11)/Track & Field (12)

• Brynn Reams: Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field

• Jessa Swinehart: Volleyball, Basketball, and Tennis

• Lane Thomas: Football, Basketball, Baseball (9)/Golf (10-12)

• Trevor Tooker: Football, Basketball, Track & Field

Congratulations to a great group of athletes who have won league championships, district championships, qualified for the state finals, earned all-state honors, academic all-state honors, and so much more over the past 4 years.  Your school and community appreciate your dedication, hard work, commitment, and the way you have represented Ionia throughout your high school careers!
