The Lady Dawgs celebrated Senior Night in style with two big wins against Belding 14-4 and 12-2. Ionia's seniors led the way as Kam Perry, Kaidence Thomas, Allyson Strasser, Emma White and Nevaeh Stanard led the offensive and defensive attack in the double header. Ionia moves its record to 9-25 on the season and will play in the District Semifinal at Portland on Saturday June 1st against Hastings at noon.

Ionia falls to 7-25 on the season and will celebrate its 5 seniors on Tuesday May 28 in their final home game against county rival Belding.
The Lady Dawgs fell to a very talented Lakewood team 15-0 and 15-0 on Monday. Ionia was led by Kaidence Thomas who reached base multiple times in the double header. Ionia is now 7-23 on the season and finishes the conference season at 2-10. Ionia will play Okemos at home on Wednesday May 22nd.
The Lady Dawgs recorded a sweep of Durand on Thursday afternoon 17-0 and 19-4. Ionia's offensive onslaught included 23 hits in the double header, and all 11 Lady Dawg batters reached base at least one time in the double header. Kaidence Thomas threw a one hit shutout in Game 1 to get the win in the circle, and Bella Delgado picked up the win in game 2 giving up 3 hits and only one earned run. Ionia is now 7-21 on the season and will travel to Lakewood on Monday.

Leading the Lady Dawgs offensively were Allyson Strasser, Allyson Schmid, Kam Perry, and Emma White who all recorded multiple hits in the double header. Ionia falls to 5-21 on the season and 2-8 in conference and will travel to Durand on Thursday May 16th.
The Lady Dawgs lost three games in the Ionia High School Invitational this weekend 16-6 to Greenville, 15-5 to Hopkins and 10-5 to St. Johns. Ionia was led offensively by freshmen Bella Delgado and Allyson Schmid, and seniors Kam Perry and Allyson Strasser. Ionia falls to 5-19 on the season and will play at home against Lansing Catholic on Tuesday May 14th.

The Lady Dawgs recorded one win and one loss in the Fowler Invitational Saturday. Ionia fell to the eventual champions Fowler 16-0 in game 1, but rallied to defeat East Lansing 15-11 in game 2. The Lady Dawgs were led by Allyson Schmid, Kaidence Thomas, Kam Perry, Allyson Strasser, and Lauryn Schmid who all recorded multiple hits in the tournament. Ionia is now 5-14 on the season, and will host Okemos on Tuesday.
The Lady Dawgs fell to Mason tonight 10-0 and 20-0. Ionia was led by Allyson Schmid, Kam Perry and Kaidence Thomas who all recorded hits in the doubleheader. Ionia falls to 4-13 on the season and will play in the Fowler Invitational on Saturday May 4th.
The Lady Dawgs picked up two big wins tonight over Charlotte 11-1 and 20-10. In Game 1 Ionia was led by Kaidence Thomas, Kam Perry and Mariah Stoakes who all recorded multiple hits. Kaidence Thomas was also stellar in the circle giving up only one run and striking out 7. The Game 2 Ionia kept the momentum up offensively and had a season high 16 hits as a team. Thomas, Stoakes, Allyson Strasser, and Nevaeh Stanard all recorded multiple hits in Game 2. Ionia is now 4-11 overall on the season and 2-6 in conference play.
The Lady Dawgs played an emotional 9th annual Purple Game tonight against a very strong Saranac team. Ionia fought hard in the game but fell short by a score of 5-0. Ionia was led by Emma White and Kam Perry who both recorded hits in the game. Ionia was also led by Kaidence Thomas in the circle who struck out a season high 12 batters. The night concluded with the Purple Jersey Ceremony where family and friends gathered to remember those who have fought, and continue to fight cancer. The Lady Dawgs earned a split against Hastings losing Game 1 8-6 and winning Game 2 11-6. In Game 1 Ionia was led offensively by Kaidence Thomas, Kam Perry, Bella Delgado and Mariah Stoakes who each recorded multiple hits. Ionia also saw its strongest defensive performance of the season, and had a strong showing in the circle in Game 2 by Kaidence Thomas. Ionia falls to 0-4 in conference and 1-9 overall.

The Ionia Varsity Softball Team picked up the split against Haslett 11-0 and 7-6. The second game was highlighted by a 3 run walk off home run by senior Allyson Strasser in the bottom of the 7th inning!!! Ionia also got major offensive contributions from Kaidence Thomas, Emma White and Allyson Schmid in the double header. Additionally, the Lady Dawgs got a massive pitching performance from Bella Delgado, who threw 6 innings and struck out 6 batters. The Lady Dawgs are now 1-5 on the season and will play Eaton Rapids at home on Friday April 19th.

In Game 1, the Dawgs were led by Kam Perry who was 1-2 and scored a run and Allyson Strasser who was 1-2 with a double and an RBI. In Game 2 Kadence Thomas, Tori Gutierrez, Emma White and Allyson Schmid all recorded hits for the Dawgs. Ionia falls to 0-2 on the season, and plays Eaton Rapids at home Thursday for its conference opener.
