Ionia traveled to St. Louis Friday night to compete in a team tournament where we had a chance to wrestle 5 duals. Ionia went 1-4 on the night. Ionia came just short in the first 2 duals only losing by 1 match in each dual. In round one Ionia lost to Fulton 37-28. Then in round two, Ionia lost to Chesaning 48-36. In round three, Ionia lost to St. Louis 74-6, and then had a loss to Frankenmuth 59-17. In the 5th and final round Ionia pulled out a win against St. Louis B team 44-33. We had 2 wrestlers come home with medals going 4-1 on the night Wade Charon at 106 lbs and Ricky Charon at 113 lbs.  Getting 3 wins on the night were wrestlers Chad Campbell and Jonathan Rico. Jayden Dornbos went 2-3 on the night. Also earning a win on the night were wrestlers Tylan Daniel, Zayne Mills-Huhn, Aaron Wolthuis, Bradley Thomas, and Colter Reed. Ionia now has a team dual record of 4-9 on the season and will be back on the mat Wednesday at Lansing Everett.
