Varsity Wrestling Season Opener

Ionia bulldogs hosted the season opener this year competing against Lakewood and Ovid Elsie. Ionia went 1-1 on the night with a loss to Lakewood and then a win against Ovid Elsie 54-30. Chad Campbell was our only wrestler to go 2-0 tonight. Also going undefeated tonight 1-0 were wrestlers Sadie Roberts and Sarah Schafer. Wrestlers that went 1-1 tonight were Wade Charon, Ricky Charon, Aaron Wolthuis, Jackson Stoakes, Vinny Crippen, Bradley Thomas, and Jonathan Rico. Ionia will be back on the mat this weekend competing at the Delton Kellogg team tournament.
