IHS WEEKLY ATHLETIC SCHEDULE

It was an exciting week with weather issues at the beginning, athletes signing letters of intent, multiple invitationals, a great rededication ceremony, and much more.  As the spring sports season starts to wind down, our teams are ready to take on the challenge of postseason tournaments.  Make sure you are getting out there and catching our athletes in action before it is too late.

Congratulations to Zane Sarka who signed with Trine University and Alex Barr who signed with Aquinas College to continue their athletic careers.

Congratulations to Kamryn Perry and Jacob Montgomery who were recognized by the Michigan High School Athletic Association with the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award!

A huge thank you to our track and field coaches, athletes, and meet workers who helped pull off a great invitational Friday night!  Not only were we able to celebrate and remember long time IMS teacher Tom Foy but we were able to proudly represent our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Saturday's rededication ceremony, helping to carry forward the spirit of Frank Ciangi Jr. and his love for baseball, community, and service. The improvements made to the field will allow it to continue to be a place where dreams are born, friendships are forged, and memories are made. (Program with before and after photos of field)

Thank you to our athletes, coaches, parents, families, and friends from both Saranac and Ionia for raising $3104.08 at this year's purple softball games and continuing to support Ionia Community Awareness!
